Some of you seniors might remember a particular Wednesday in 2008, when Campus Events 
Commission screened the movie “Pirates II: Stagnatti’s Revenge”.
Now most of you are thinking, so what? Johnny Depp is cool and all, but what’s so special about screening a Disney movie? Well, it wasn’t exactly a Disney movie. It was a porno, starring Riley Steele, Katsuni, Sasha Grey, Jesse Jane, Stoya, Belladonna, and Gabriella Fox. The screening was followed by a Q&A session, where some awkward questions as well as thought-provoking ones were asked.
Obviously, screening such an event doesn’t come without controversy. According to this daily bruin article, Christian groups were outraged, and decided they would protest the film and organize a walk-out. Alas, “no protestors materialized”, and all was well.
The screening went well (the crowd was close to 850), and sparked a little bit of healthy debate.
