Date: Monday, November 8, 2010
Time: 8 PM
Location: Ackerman Grand Ballroom
***100 more tickets will be available on Thursday, November 4th at the CTO starting at 10 A.M.***
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been working as a professional actor for twenty-three years–recently having starred in the summer blockbuster Inception and the hit (500) Days of Summer for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe. In conjunction with his production company hitRECord.org, Joseph will be speaking at UCLA to reach out and collaborate with young aspiring artists and media-makers. The program will include a discussion of his acting career, an introduction to hitRECord’s collaborative process, as well as lots of interactive participatory RECording antics and activities.

This event will be interactive. Bring your video-recording devices and cameras – you’ll be encouraged to upload your footage to hitrecord.org!
Free and open to UCLA students only. Tickets will be distributed at CTO starting Wednesday, November 3, and must be redeemed with a valid Bruincard by 7:45PM on the day of the event.

If I miss this event, I don’t think I’ll survive! <3
ooooooooomg
has the place for ticket distribution been posted yet?
I think I just fainted. I’m amazed beyond words.
We will be posting the ticket information here, so no, it has not been posted yet.
Are UCLA alumni in the Alumni Association invited? I know it says UCLA students only but I have to check.
Sorry Mem, events are only open to current UCLA students with valid Bruincards.
Damn.. pretty jealous. I wish I was a UCLA student to listen
when will tickets be available?
my friend has a midterm during this time, can i bring her bruincard as well and get a ticket for her?
Monique, we’re actually not really sure how CTO is going to handle that, but it’s definitely worth a shot.
If we weren’t able to get a ticket the second time around either is there anyway we can still line up to attend the event?
Yes, we always have standby lines at our events!
Are we sure this show is still going on? He has been said to have canceled all tour dates this fall recently?
Will he be doing a meet and greet after the speaking event?
Awesome event, thank you for hosting it! Where will the line begin at?
Soooo annoyed i missed the ticket scheduling.
ill be stand-by for sure!
Where is the standby line going to be? Also, what time is the speech expected to finish?
So by saying, “Free and open to UCLA students only.” I assume that outside visitors are not welcome? If so, that’s a bummer, because I’d really like to attend.
Sorry Erin, our events are for UCLA students only. This event also requires tickets, which were distributed last week.
Yes, this event is still happening.
Hi Bert, most likely not.
Do you need to have your id with you during the event, or is it okay if you only have the ticket?
where will the standby line be at?
You need to bring your Bruincard and ticket.
It will start at the bottom of the stairs leading up to Ackerman Patio.
Which entrance are we supposed to wait at if we already have tickets…
will both the standby and the line for people who already have tickets be at the bottom of the stairs leading up to ackerman patio?
is He a good speaker?
Of course!
