CEC Presents FOOD TRUCKS: Investigating the Role of Food Trucks in America’s Culinary Landscape
plus FREE SAMPLES from Coolhaus!
Food trucks have become such a huge phenomenon in the United States and more importantly, in the city of L.A. In this exciting panel, we will be talking about the role of food trucks in America’s culinary landscape. In addition, we will learn about three successful food trucks Kogi BBQ, Frysmith, and Coolhaus and their path from a start-up company with a smart concept to developing that brand into a successful established business. Lastly, we will hear from LA Weekly food critic Jonathan Gold and Cathy Chaplin of the well-known blog, Gastronomy, about their thoughts on this nation-wide food revolution. Have food trucks become the new business model for starting a brick and mortar restaurant? Are food trucks becoming saturated in an increasingly competitive market? How have food trucks and social media changed the way we consume food? These are a few of the questions that make for an interesting discussion regarding the popularity of food trucks.
