Do you have an ardent love for bands like Death From Above 1979, Broken Social Scene, and Cold War Kids? Are you in the LA area? Do you find yourself twiddling your thumbs and counting how many times you’ve refreshed Facebook in the past hour in a desperate attempt to entertain yourself? Do you have a spare $40 lying around somewhere (try checking your couch)?
If so, you’re in luck. FYF FestĀ is having their eighth annual festival at the LA State Historical Park in Downtown LA on Saturday, September 3rd. Bands include the aforementioned headliners, along with many many more, such as Descendants, Explosions in the Sky, Simian Mobile Disco, Dan Deacon, and YACHT.
If that isn’t enough to make you uncross your legs and remove your left hand from your face, this is FYF Fest’s first year collaborating and working with Goldenvoice to produce the event. You might know Goldenvoice as the powerhouse that puts on Coachella and Stagecoach, two of the biggest music festivals on the West Coast.
Seriously, why are you still reading this post? You should already be looking at the full line-up on their website (HERE) or buying tickets (HERE) or figuring out the location and how to get there (HERE). You’re welcome.
See you there!
