How do I sign up for sneaks and speaking events?

Follow these step-by-step instructions to sign up for a sneak or a speaking event, and look at the screenshots to the right for details on each step:

1. Click on “Event Reservations” once you log on to your MyUCLA account. The link should be located on the left sidebar near the very bottom of the page.

2. Select “Campus Events” from the drop-down menu.

3. Hover your mouse over the event you’d like to attend.

4. In the box that appears, click “Reserve.” Nothing to it.

To attend free movie sneaks and speaking events, you must reserve at MyUCLA. Spots for sneaks and speaking events are limited, and you can start signing up 2 school days before the event. For instance, if the sneak were on Tuesday, you can start signing up on the previous Thursday at midnight. Free sneaks usually begin at 8PM, so be sure to arrive by 7:30PM on the day of to guarantee your seat. If you arrive too late, your spot might be given away, even if you had reserved online. You will pick up your wristband when you arrive at Ackerman Grand Ballroom.

If you are unable to reserve online because the event is full, don’t give up! We have a standby line for every sneak, so if people reserved but don’t show up, you will be able to attend.

Can I bring my friend who is not a UCLA student to a free sneak or speaking event?
No. Free events are for UCLA students only.

Who can attend the free movies (formally $2 movies)?
Since $2 movies are now free, we will only be showing them to UCLA students. Bruincards will be checked. There is no need to reserve in advance!

I want to be part of the awesomeness. How can I join CEC?
We usually hire in spring quarter for programming and marketing staffs, although we sometimes hire for winter as well. Keep checking back, and we will definitely also make it known when applications come out.
