DJ, producer, and songwriter Diplo will be headlining an electro show in Ackerman Grand Ballroom with openers Nosaj Thing (up-and-coming local electronic musician) and Dillon Francis (producer/DJ on Diplo’s Mad Decent label). Diplo is half of musical duo Major Lazer and founder of the record label Mad Decent. His producer credits include collaborations with M.I.A., Lilʼ Jon, and Missy Elliot. He is also known for his remixes of popular artists, including The Beatles, Britney Spears, and Linkin Park.
UCLA students only. Tickets will be distributed through CTO beginning Monday, May 16th. One ticket per Bruincard per person. Wristbands will be distributed between 5 and 9 PM on May 19th to those with a ticket and Bruincard. Doors open at 7:30. Tickets must be redeemed by 9. No bags or purses allowed.
- Doors open at 7:30pm, close at 9:00pm
- Show starts at 8:00pm
- Pick up wristband for access with ticket and Bruincard
- Wristbands will be distributed 5:00pm-9:00pm by Kerckhoff near Wetzel’s Pretzels
- Tickets guarantee admission if you arrive and get your wristband before 9:00pm, but will be void after 9:00pm
- No bags/backpacks/purses/skateboards (unopened water okay)
- No ins and outs

So, do we need both a ticket and a wristband to get in? And if we get a ticket, does that mean we aren’t guaranteed a wristband?
You will exchange your ticket for a wristband on 5/19 between 5 and 9PM. If you have a ticket and Bruincard and come between this time, you’ll get a wristband.
what time will cto start distributing tickets on monday?
When it opens, which is 10AM.
how many tickets per Bruincard are we allowed to pick up from CTO?

How much money are tickets? And can one person grab multiple bruincards and get one ticket per card in order to get tickets for people who don’t want to stand in line, or can one person only use one bruincard to get one ticket?
tickets are FREE. 1 Ticket per Bruincard per Person. That means you and your Bruincard can only get one! No picking up tickets for others etc (to make sure everyone gets a chance to get tickets).

What if diplo happens to be your FAVORITE DJ EVER, can I get one of my friends to get me a ticket and use their bruinscard at the event?
Why are only UCLA students allowed to attend? UCLA is a public school & I’m pretty sure you received funding from the school/state/federal, which means its being paid by TAXPAYER dollars.
If there is still space, may UCLA students still show up at the door? (I won’t be on campus during wristband distribution =[ )
What about Bruin Alumni? are we allowed into this?

How long will the concert go? And will the seating be set up like for free sneaks or no seating at all?
Yes, there will be a standby line, which will be let in at 9PM (space permitting)!

Wear clothes with pockets. Also, there are no ins and outs so unless you’re planning to use those products inside the ballroom…
