Hey loyal CEC movie-goers.
So we used to have this frequent-flyer-amc-movie-watcher-reward type card. It died.
But now we want to bring it back to life!

They’re called AA cards, Audience Appreciation that is (or Am App, Alchys Anon, Animal Admirers, whatever floats your boat).

How it works:
Bring the card every time you come watch one of our $2 films and get it stamped by a CEC-er.
FOUR STAMPS [4 $2 films] gets you ONE FREE $2!

Occasionally, we may have other CEC events that will earn you a stamp for attending–but we’ll give you a heads up when those events come ’round.

To redeem:
Just bring your fully-4-stamped AA card to the $2 of your choice.
Give it to the ticketers, then waltz in fo’ free!

The not-so-fine print:
Feel free to get a new AA card any time! We’ll always have them at $2 films and in our office.
Our AA cards never expire!
Cards can’t be combined!
No down payment!
Zero interest!
We’ll beat anyone’s advertised price or your mattress is free?

Hello CEC movie-goers!

BIG THANKS to you all for your patience and for sticking around to watch SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE last night.

We weren’t stalling on purpose, pinky promise! Long story short, people not on our end sorta forgot the film was happening that night, so it was rushed over from Van Nuys. Because of this, you all got to experience something special with us; precious moments where a guy did some stand-up and cec staff lovingly threw ping-pong balls, magnets, and bottle openers into the crowd.

We’re sorry if one of the promos hit you, but you were warned what was a-comin’ and to put your hands over your face. It’s just like when we make those announcements to run away from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, hidden stealth behind the curtains in Ackerman. We are here to protect you so your moviegoing is pleasant.

I’m glad you stayed to watch the incomparable ball-shaving scene. I think we definitely bonded as a large group during that moment.

ATTENTION, UCLA HERBAL ENTHUSIASTS/OPPONENTS/PART-TIME STONERS:

Whatever your take on marijuana usage, the debate over its taxation and regulation has become a hot-button policy issue of our time. Recent polls show that 56% of Californians support legalizing marijuana, while in the state Assembly, the Public Safety Committee recently approved a landmark bill designed to legalize and regulate the sale of the drug.

On Monday, February 22, Dr. Dale Gieringer, vice-chair of the California chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) will be speaking at the UCLA campus regarding the case for the legalization of marijuana.

The event begins at 8:15 in Moore 100. Admission is free and open to all UCLA students with valid Bruincards.

Thanks everyone for making it out to our concerts in January! We had an action packed month and CEC would like to also thank our artists Rumspringa, GZA, and Black Lips for coming out and KILLIN IT at UCLA.
